I had trouble finding meds that worked for me. The only meds that do me any good are meds that can only be taken in the short term when one is having a major crisis. So i have found that CBT was really the thing for me. It helps me deal with my anxiety and regain confidence and control over my life. So i strongly suggest you give it a try and see what it can do for you and we will all be here to cheer you on! -Diva

Mollylove, Please know that you are not alone and there is additional help here for you. Aside from medications, therapy has also be shown effective in individuals with panic disorder. We have a great therapy program here that many have found helpful. It is located in your session diary. With regards to medication, we can only advise that you should continue working with your doctor or psychiatrist. He/she is the best decide what options may work best for you. It can be a very frustrating process, you're not alone there either, but with time and effort you'll be able to find something that works best for you. Using our search engine will also pull up past discussion on this very subject and what other members in your position have done. Danielle ____________________ The PC Support Team

I was on Zoloft for 3 years and did really good. So i stopped taking it and all heck broke loose. All my anxiety came back with a vengence. So i then tried to take other SSRI's and none worked. I really don't know what to do. Has anyone else had this? Any suggestions. I think i need a med but they don't work. I'm scared. i also have xanax and that seems to make me anxious the day after taking it. I don't get it?!
