Well...I have been doing pretty good but I still go through my rough patches, mostly when I am PMSing. I have been going to school and I still get really anxious and nauseated each time in class but I talk to myself and make myself stay no matter how bad I feel because it is always my anxiety and that is what I always tell myself. I still worry occasionally that I am having a heart attack or going to have a heart attack but I do alot better now with being rational with myself and telling myself that this always happens and I always get through it and that this time it is no different. It has been helping and I think I am slowly getting better. I feel alot happier and in more control of the anxiety. I have even been able to go shopping a lot without feeling bad at all, though I still have to go with a "safe" person. I am feeling more confident and I think that I can go on my own soon so that will be my next step. So how are things with you? Are things getting better? ~Isabella~

Yes,my grandpa is very anxious about his health, but he does not have panick attacks, and my other grandpa is bi-polar. My mother has a heart condition called mitro valve prolapse which i also have, but she dosnt worry about hers like i do mine. I guess it's just the way you react to things, and i am a VERY reactive person. I think we need to find some way some how to distract ourselves from the normal things that our bodies do. I mean, i know it feels sooooo real when we are having a panick attack, right? But dont you think that if we were REALLY having a heart attack we would definatley know it? I dont know, that's just an idea I guess. It's just the process of trying to figure out if we are really in danger or not, is the toughest part. Lets just keep trying, like I said, someday eventually we will get over this, that's what I keep telling myself anyway. Let me know how you are doing! ;)

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone else in your family suffer from anxiety/panic attacks?

Isabella, I was always a worrier before my attacks started happening in the 9th grade. I think it's just different for everybody. However my attacks did come completely out of the blue! I had an MRI done because i went completly numb for no reason. So yea, i think it's either hereditary or it can also happen after a traumatic event in your life. Take care of yourself. Michelle
