Hi All,
I wanted to post this to the group because I know there are at least a few of us in here that either have become sensitive to RX'd medications or have just decided not to use them.
Either way, cold, flu and sinus season is upon us and I wanted to let you in on a discovery to assist you if you need it.
I suffer from allergies and this past 6 monnths they have gotten really bad. Seems as if I am sensitive or allergic to all medications at this point (dont even take Tylonol anymore) and for anybody suffering allergies or chronic / acute sinus, APPLE CIDER VINEGAR is really helpful. I have found a few different ways to take it:
Misting/Inhaling
1 cup ACV
1/4 cup water
mix both together in a pan on the stove. Bring to boil. Turn down to simmer. Place head over pan and inhale. Steam for 10-15 minutes as needed throughout the day. (if one nose is more stuffy than another place forefinger over unblocked side and breath in steam on the blocked side to work on it more).
an Inhailer
-go to your local convienence store and buy an over the counter nasal spray or nasal saline wash bottle
-get home, dump out medicine
-wash thouroughly with soap and water then boil for 5 minutes to sterilize
2-3 tsp ACV (as tollerated)
1 tsp water
place both in bottle
spray one-two sprays as needed and as tolerated into each nostrel.
Drinking
2 tsp ACV 2-3 times a day at the onsight of any cold symptoms
I have also read that there are ACV pills but I have not tried them nor will I as these other methods suit me fine and with my anxiety I have a hard time taking anything by mouth as I feel once it goes in it is out of my control. (sure you guys can relate to that - sigh..)
I also have found that SEA SALT (NOT table salt) mixed with the ACV clears me up faster. It has also been known to be the natural antibiotic and not only clears up sinus mucus but kills the bacteria of sinus as well. I only use it however with the ACV in the steaming not inhaling or drinking.
Please or course check with your doctor about any of these methods before using them to make sure they are good for you. I am not a doc just a very happy sinus free person and wanted to share this with you.
This is an all natural used for years and years :)
