I am just starting Zoloft for anxiety disorder... I feel a little spacey, didn't get much sleep last night. It is only the 2nd day on it, so I'm just dealing with side-effects, not much help from the drug yet... can take a month to help :-\ I'm going to wait it out... I hope it helps. I'll keep you posted. I also had a fear of taking the drug.. but I decided to just listen to my doctor and take it.

Maggie, Members will be along soon to share their experiences with you. Keep in mind that your reaction will be different as well and it is important to keep working with your doctor to find the right combination or dose for you. I was just wondering if most people here find that anti-depressants have helped them more than not? Thanks...

Thanks for your encouraging reply. I am just started Wellbutrin and will start the Zoloft in a month. The reality is, how will I know unless I try. And what a paradox- scared to take a medication that will help with my fears. It's almost funny. I decided I really need to do this, I am taking the attitude of leaving no stone unturned. Hope your doing well! :)

Hey Allison, My mom and my niece are both on Zoloft and suffer from almost no side effects. I personnally could not take it, as it had too many side effects for me. Believe me, I know how scarey it is to try a new medicine, but I would suggest trying it for a few days, and see how things go. You'll never know if you don't try. I have my fingers crossed that it will work OK for you. Just let us (and your Doctor!) know how you are doing! Hope this helps, Good Luck.

Alison, Remember that everyone will have a different experience and will react somewhat differently to this medication. Some good, some bad. Keep your doctor informed of any side effects you may experience and ask him/her lots of questions! Knowledge is power. Danielle _____________________ The PC Support Team

Hello everyone! I haven't posted here in a very long time however my battle with anxiety continues. I've recently decided that I would try Zoloft, starting at the lowest dose, 25 mg. I am scared of the horrific side effects I've read about. I am 'okay' with the usual dry mouth, tiredness, etc but SCARED :8o: of the stories where people feel like they are loosing their minds. Can anyone tell me about their experience with Zoloft ??? Thank you for posting :p
