HI everyone!!!!!thanks so much for replying........you all put a smile on my face! Thanks so much for encouraging me, this is what i need! Alison, my heart still beats fast. But i'm trying to do some deep breathing techniques (learned it from yoga video). It helps calm me down a bit, but then my heart beats fast later lol. The problem is that i'm alwaysss nervous. So, i have to try to work through this one. Are u feeling any better? What do you do when it beats fast? Melanie, thanks for your motivation! As you know, i was not feeling very well a couple of days ago, but i cannot let this take over me. I cannot say that i was calm at the hairdresser.....i was very tense and nervous. And yes, i was thinking soooo many thoughts about what would happen if I had some attack or something....my escape route is always going to the washroom lol. But, although I felt extremely nervous, i STAYED in the situation. I looked at myself in the mirror and said positive things. I also am into energy healing. If you go to wwwdotdreamhealerdotcom YOu can learn about Adam who is a young energy healer in Canada. I read two of his books and attended 1 of his workshops. He is amazinggggggggg....he teaches you how to empower yourself through energy healing visualizations. Everyone, these visualizations really work if you just have the intention of getting better! Try it! so i did some visualizations while i was sitting in the chair. I think the problem with me is that i need to ACCEPT this anxiety. I have not done so yet. So i promise i will work on accepting it and working through it. Any advice on this? thanks for your support. ;)

Angel, Thanks for telling us about your great day! Glad to hear that you are dealing with your anxiety. How did you work though your anxiety? What did you do differently this time? Just a few questions to help us understand how we can deal with our own anxiety. Thanks, Melanie _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Well done Angel thats a big accomplishment sitting there staring at yourself in the mirror wondering if the hairdresser can see your pounding heart and thinking 'what they would think if i just got up and ran out'I am petrified of hairdressers mainly because of feeling like i have no way out of there. So i think you done great. Way to go Angel, I'm happy for you! :) I've been having a rapid heartbeat lately, I remember reading your posts, but was unable to find them (???). How is that going for you lately? Did it return to normal?

HI everyone! A couple of days ago i was not feeling that well. But i just wanted to let you all know that from all of my frustration, i built some sort of confidence to just do something FOR MYSELF. So, i went ot the hairdresser today. Although this may not be something hard for some of you to do....i sometimes feel nervous when i go. BUT I DID IT!! I went, i dealt with my anxiety, I dealt with the symptoms and worked through it. NOw my hair looks great and I feel better that i did it! Just thought i would share something small with you! The small things do count u know! We just have to realize it! :)
