A Pill or Patch to Combat Excessive Alcohol Numbing

Hello David,
Thanks for the kind word. To ensure the link worked for me, I did cut and paste on a browser it did work. It could be that in your area these videos are blocked for some weird reasons. I would say try searching for "David Sinclair cure for alcoholism" or something toward that on youtube search and you may find videos.

Good afternoon Foxman. Thank you for the website link. I am having difficulty accessing it for some reason. Probably my I-Pod or my Internet provider? In any event, for you and for all those who you have tirelessly helped who have come to this forum for help/advice, I thought it only proper that you be recognized even if it is a simple "thank you." Aside from other things you may be doing, I feel deep down that God has "called" you to this noble and much needed effort. Thank you once again and may God bless you and your loved ones with great health, peace that transcends all human understanding, joy that super abounds and last but most important of all, His limitless and unconditional love.

Ok, like a typical alcoholic I post this video without listening to the whole 6 minute clip. He admits there are 20% of the patients that didn't work for them. So, try it. There is no harm in trying right?

Have you watched this? I have never tried it. Perhaps others who are struggling could try this. There are other videos one by a celebrity who got "fixed" is a avid proponent of this method.

I don't believe I am bringing anything new to the forum, however I felt it prudent to review the dictionary definition for "numbing." The Oxford dictionary defines it as follows: the conscious decision to "deprive" one's self or deliberately avoid one's senses from something or someone. In the case of an alcoholic, we deliberately choose to avoid unpleasant and/or at times umbearable circumstances. Unfortunately, this "conscious or deliberate act of numbing ourselves gets out of control, and as I need not remind anyone we get ourselves in all sorts of conflicts. It is the fortunate one who can drink with impunity. I also do not believe that I am adding any revelation when I state categorically that God did indeed place hops and grapes and other plants capable of fermenting and producing spirits (the harder stuff). So one may ask, and with good reason, what point am I attempting to make. Just this: God knew or knows full well that this life we live can be hard and also at times we simply need a much needed break or mental getaway. So what could we do to resist the temptation to drink too much and/or too often? Many human beings have attempted to come up with solutions, but like for poverty they have been of the band aid variety. So here is what I was thinking. Let's all put our brains together to come up with a pill or patch, similar to what is used for smoking, and use this to stop excessive craving for alcohol. What d'ya think?
