Hi healthyj,

Maybe you lost those drinking friends because they didn't know how to relate to someone who is sober and possibly they felt a little paranoid. Perhaps they had drinking problems themselves and you being sober made them acutely aware of their own issues. Out of sight, out of mind. True friends will accept you warts and all. Remember, you can always make new friends and boredom can be kept at bay by getting involved.

That's my plan anyway.

YOu know I have to say one of the hardest things is filling the social void. I lost some good friends when I stopped drinking. But, were they really good friends? The friends who have stuck by me aren't freaked out by the fact I have cranberry/soda vs wine - they enjoy my company. That is true friendship.

Thanks! Not doing anything special for this milestone. Waiting for the 100 day mark and I'll treat myself to a trip abroad.
