Hutch,

What is different about this site is we encourage cutting back or stopping completely.  Whatever you think will work for you.  Some people find the cutting back does not work, others do.  What do you think will work for you?

I think I understand. Are you saying that you know you are an alcoholic, but want to learn to control your drinking?

If thats the case I feel the hope of success at that are not very good. Most that I know once they cross the invisible line, cannot go back. Of the 100's of alcoholics I have met, I have only seen this once - and my friends would say he is a potential alcoholic, if he goes too far he may lose that.

If you search THIQ in google the reasons for this make sense, if you believe that theory.

Hutch,

I don't quite understand your message. Can you try explaining it in another way?
