Making excuses can really hold a person back, in relationships and in life. Making an excuse is another way of avoiding...and as we all know avoiding usually just worsens the problem.

Excuses in a way, are a bit of a cognitive distortion. They prevent you from seeing reality in a way that serves your needs. So how can we challenge excuses as we would cognitive distortions?
