Thirdhand smoke is the "residual contamination of surfaces and spaces with nicotine and other chemicals from smokers"; unlike secondhand smoke, thirdhand smoke can not be seen. A resent study shared by Sciences Advances informs that smokers may unknowingly be exposing others to the harmful effects of thirdhand smoke simply by walking indoors with the clothes they smoked in.
