The Gym

Hi John,

Enjoying the gym, and the fresh air that goes with it? Good for you!!! I don't have that kind of energy myself anymore, but do work out on my treadmill 5 days a week. Never would have even thought about doing that when I smoked. It's kind of weird how things can change in a blink of an eye isn't it? ? Did you gain any weight after you quit smoking? If so, have you lost any of it yet? I gained almost 15 pounds when I quit, but I've lost it all and then some since I quit. You just have more energy when you quit smoking since your body no longer has to constantly try and repair the damage you were doing to it by smoking. I only wish that I would have quit a LONG time before I actually did. No regrets here other than that. Keep your quit going buddy!

Awesome work at the gym John! ?

I am also uber impressed you did not smoke even though you didn't sleep for 48 hours. That is an incredible amount of stress to be under. With all the money you have saved so far in your quit, you can buy an AC. I hope you are able to keep cool. Sleep is so important.

Thanks for sharing the motivation,

Ashley

The recent very hot weather (we had 36c) has passed and I can sleep again in the day (I work permanent nights) I did go 48 hours no sleep because it was just to hot, yeah I was a bit stressed out but there was no way I would pick up a cigarette, I seem to analyze how I feel these days and I dont think thats a bad thing. I'm still enjoying my quit journey and starting Monday I have booked and will be going to my local Gym (I used to do weights around 30 years ago) so im looking forward to some (gental) Squats and Bench Press ... the wife says ur mad LOL, but I'm going ?

Have a good smoke free day

I enjoyed the Gym went 30kg on Squats, Bench Press 26kg, had a run on a Running Machine and got chatting to a guy David who is 56 yo we had a good time, I'm going to hurt tomorrow LOL but I will be back next Monday ?
