Hello,
I don't know where to start. Well, I guess I'll start here: I've been smoking for about 10 years. I'm going to be 35 soon and I must quit smoking before next Spring. I've had Lumbar Spinal Fusion surgery, and next Spring I'm going to have to have Cervical Spinal Fusion surgery. I have Degenerative Disc Disease, among a plethora of other things. I feel like I'm beating my head against a brick wall. I've tried to quit in the past and mom talked me back into smoking because she wanted to smoke. Well she's in her 60's now and I live with her, and she gets HIGHLY AGGRESSIVE when she don't have cigs. She'll stress me out to the point of self injury, which is another thing I've dealt with in the past but have almost come to beat.
Mom's getting signs of Alzheimer's disease too, which makes it all the more difficult.
I feel like I'm going nuts.
My doctor has jumped my case pretty heavy about smoking, as my brother does too.
I have to quit but don't know where to start. I quit for 3 days last year....
I need a quit-buddy. Anyone available?
Anyway, I'm sorry this isn't much of an introduction. I'm stressed at this moment, too, so I'm not sure exactly what to put in my intro. Other than quitting is difficult, but I know it's possible.
Please, do not send me "tough love" messages. It doesn't work and makes the stress even worse; bullying me will just lead to worse things for me. I do not need touch love or bullying.
That's all I've run into in the past of looking for help to quit smoking online. A lot of people who have quit already seem very bitter.
I do not get along with bitter people. So if you're a bully, bitter, or attempting to send me a hate message of "tough love", I won't reply.
Help someone? I need a quit buddy.
Thank you.
