Thanks Timbo!  Yes it's hard to believe that I actually did it. Never thought I could get past those beginning days and weeks where it just seemed so overwhelming.  My reward will be some new add ons for my Pick Up Truck this fall. Just banking the money saved at this point. Never could have done that either without putting the smokes down for good. It does feel great to be free of the addiction.

Hi Pappy,
3 months smoke free today for you, WAY TO GO!!!  That's a pretty big milestone for you. Smoked for decades and now have been free of the addiction for THREE months!  It's still sinking in isn't it? Keep the quit going Pappy, you're doing great.
Be sure and give yourself a nice reward for all the effort you've put into it.
Stay strong.

Hi Pappy,
Off the patch already....good for you! The urges are starting to be far and few between for you now too, that's awesome!! Just be sure and keep your guard up at all times, for those sneaky cravings.   That smoking meter sure is nice too. How many ashtrays would you have had to clean out now at the 1700+ not smoked mark? Quite a few I'm sure. Your lungs are going...thank you thank you thank you every hour of every day now since you quit!  "It's still hard to believe that I did this and am doing this, never thought I would ever be able to kick the addiction." I'm with you Pappy. I never thought that I would be able to quit either, and now look at us, we're both quitters. Even after 5+ years, I still feel giddy inside sometimes thinking about it.
Stay strong.

Hi Sparrow and Timbo!! Well happy to report that I am still smoke free. In an other 5 days it will be 3 months free of my addition. Sparrow: I would say that for the most part the cravings are gone. Every once in a while out of the blue one will hit me like a brick wall, but I stand strong and the urge passes very quickly. I no longer use any nicotine aids as well, so I am absolutely free of all the garbage that I was feeding myself. When I look at the meter and see how many cigarettes I HAVE NOT smoked I think to myself, good grief that was a lot of cigarettes and a boat load of cash as well. It's still hard to believe that I did this and am doing this, never thought I would ever be able to kick the addiction.

My calendar must be messed up or I'm in the twilight zone. I thought Pappy would celebrate 3 months next Thursday, and Sparrow would celebrate 3 months next Friday. Stella celebrates 11 months on Monday, and my kitten turns 1 on Thursday too. Busy week next week for sure. How time does fly as a quitter!

Hi Pappy
Wow youre at 10+ weeks. How do you feel these days? Do you still get any cravings? Do you ever miss smoking? Id be interested to hear how youre travelling since we are at roughly the same time. Feels great doesnt it....almost surreal.
