Hi Swiss,
Are you still a quitter? It's been almost 2 weeks now and we have not heard from you in a week. Hope you're still with us. That pile of  money you are saving is sure adding up fast.
Stay strong.

Congrats on Day 6! That's major.  Almost a solid week into this, keep it going.  I totally remember that feeling that I was missing something in the early days. I had to be inventive with new ways to satisfy some of those needs (like the need to get a break or a "treat" at work became taking a few minutes to fiddle on my phone or go outside for some deep breathing with my eyes closed), and for other times I just kind of had to buckle down and muscle through until I stopped feeling like I "needed" something at those times (driving, meal times, etc).  I felt like my body got used to it pretty quickly, and after dismissing those cues several times in a row they began to subside more rapidly than I expected.  Driving especially surprised me - I only had to work on dismissing smoking urges for a week or two before my brain got the message and stopped suggesting that I smoke every time I got behind the wheel.  I found it really helpful to post here frequently during the early weeks (and side bonus, it inspires others who want to quit to read along with your quit).  I just reached 6 months and still find it helpful to check in here regularly, since I am occasionally (rarely) surprised by an urge to smoke that I need some support around.  Coming here is great for accountability, and I learned so much (and distracted myself as needed during early cravings!) from reading through the archives.

It's day 6 now. My physical cravings are going away fast. I'm on about 5 pieces of gum a day which I use for 5 mins a time. I will knock them on the head next week. The pscholigical side I'm finding a bit more more difficult. I used to smoke a lot a work. It was a little treat some thing to brake the day up with. Waking up and and just before bed. Just before I had dinner. I getting the feeling I'm missing something. I don't get the urge to smoke I just that I'm not doing something right. I use a tracker that helps a lot. Seeing the money I would of spent on cigarettes. Planning what I'm gonna spend it on. Quite shocked and disappointed with how much ive wasted. Good luck peeps. We can all do it.
