Hi Kaiz
I know you feel guilty about your child but really you couldn't have contributed to her condition if you didnt smoke around her. Its an unfortunate coincidence. How are you travelling? Have you begun your quit?
Im still trying to quit and havent succeeded yet but the things l find helpful are reading others posts on here, going through the  program here as timbo said and also writing down lists......reasons to quit, coping methods, things to do to distract/occupy time and a list of facts that support me when l read them like "physical nicotine withdrawals last 3-4 days" , "reasons to quit are stronger than reasons to smoke"....things that boost my morale when l read them. Its a quitting journal l can read over when lm craving. I hope you succeed in your quit.

Hi Kaiz,
Welcome to the stop smoking center. "I have quit smoking a few times in the past but unfortunately, very unsuccessful". How long were you able to quit before and how many times? "I'm just looking for advice, tips and any input I can get". Since you have been able to quit in the past, you pretty much know what to expect on your quit journey. Even tough you have quit before, I'd suggest you start out by going through the "my program" at the top of the page. There might be something in there that can help you out. Then if you have them time, read, read, read through these forums. The answers you are searching for are probably in here, you just have to find them. How long have you smoked? "I work in a jet charter company where I am a manager. Its very stressful at times and unpredictable". Ahh yes stress. This seems to be the number one killer of a quit journey. More quits have failed because of stress. Let me rephrase that. More quits have failed due to stress because quitters have not relearned how to deal with stress without a cigarette. Stress is always going to be in our lives, with or without a cigarette, and we just need to relearn how to deal with it without that crutch called nicotine. It's a terrible drug and for some VERY hard to let go of.
I wish you the best on your quit journey, and hope you can succeed forever this time.
Stay strong.

Hello everyone. I'm 32 years old. I have quit smoking a few times in the past but unfortunately, very unsuccessful. I work in a jet charter company where I am a manager. Its very stressful at times and unpredictable. I'm married with 2 kids. my youngest just got diagnosed with RSV ( https://www.webmd.com/lung/rsv-in-babies). I feel I have contributed to this with my smoking even though I don't smoke around her. But I know the smoke stays on clothes, in the car and all that stuff. I would like to quit for my health but also my family's. I'm just looking for advice, tips and any input I can get. I was prescribed Chantix at one point but it made my heart hurt so I was taken off of it. My parents were smokers and it was 17 years ago my father was diagnosed with chronic COPD. It was was shown of some of his cause was small bubbles on his lungs which contributed to it but is a hereditary disorder which I have as well. I'm only 8 years away from his problems started, and I think I have smoked more than him at this point. Hope to hear from some of you. Have a great day!!! thank you in advance
