Panic attacks and anxiety

Hi Craftymary,

I hope you were able to make it to your Doctor's appointment today.

It is hard to say exactly how long withdrawal will last but the worst of it will be within the first two weeks. But rest assured they will go away eventually. Check out the program section on Withdrawal symptom for more information.

How are you feeling today?

Hello everyone! I'm new here. I stopped smoking after 6 years on March 21st. It wasn't until about a week and a half ago I started having panic attacks and severe anxiety. I've never felt this way in my life, and it's making me absolutely miserable. Never have I felt so out of touch with myself, I feel like these things are controlling me day in and out. I feel terrified about 60% of the day. I have an appointment with my doctor on the 26th of this month, but I can hardly take it anymore. My question is, do these "withdrawal symptoms" go away, and if so, how long should I expect to have the displeasure of experiencing them? I'd love to hear from anyone who has gone through this/is going through this. Thank you
