Welcome Logie1995,

Congrats on getting started. It sounds like you really want to be free of smoking but you are a bit nervous. That is completely normal. It actually might be helpful to you as you will have your guard up. It was your first day today. How is it going?

This is day 13 of cold turkey for me. You can do it. The first four days were the worst for me. Expect some gastrointestinal "confusion" between days 4 through 6; it all got easier after that. I also put some dumbbells for simple weight training in my office at work, so every time my head starts spinning I do some curls or other exercise I can do without a bench.

Hi Logie, You've come to the right site if you are looking to quit as you will find plenty of solid support here. I smoked like a chimney for 42 years and assumed I was doomed! I had no idea how much control those little stinkers had over everything I did until I finally stopped. If you really want to quit you will. This site saved my life and can do the same for you! All the best. Cameless

Hi I'm communicating this all the way from Sunny South Africa. I've been a smoker for about six years now. The last three years I've become a 30-40 a day smoker. Something I'm not proud of. Uhm, I really want to be able to achieve this and I know that I have to stop I just don't believe in myself right now and I have absolutely no discipline. I decided to come here for some support because I know if I have someone constantly pressurizing me and someone I can vent to it would probably make it a lot easier. I'm super super nervous.
