Hello Working on it, 1,000 smoke free days is an extraordinary accomplishment; and yes, you are to celebrate big time. For some who fall within the two to three year range, they think that it might be okay to just try a puff to see first, how they don't miss smoking, and second if they do, how they might recover should they enjoy what they just puffed. The answer to the first question could be, wow, that was strong and icky. The answer to the second, let's give it a second try to what I might have missing. You are correct in your thought process, thoughts of smoking do wither and the physical part become meaningless; the to do with fingers, lips, mouth and lung rushes pass, and pass forever. Stay true to yourself and continue to focus the goal in your mind eye. Congratulation! Stickin to it

Ha! Thanks, Machiavelli!
I knew the 100 mark was coming close, but I think I didn't realize when I hit that actual day. I guess that's a good thing to not notice the days as much anymore. You must be getting close to 1000 days, also, right?

Also thanks to Lolly and Timbo for your words of support.
I'm still going strong. I'm still glad that I quit. Life is so much better without an active addiction.
