Very Sad News :(

10 years ago 0 152 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0

Thanks Eyja and Working for the kind words and support.  I'm still a non smoker and that is the best I can do right now.

Very depressed but trying to stay positive and accepting of the situation.  I can only control myself, not her disease :(

Ahhh! So sorry to hear this news Carols! You know that Nicodemon loves those  "'what difference does it make, she never smoked' thoughts"   But your own journey belongs to you. No one else knows exactly what you are facing, but making the choice to deal with this news without adding cigarettes back into your life is excellent! Sending strength and best wishes to you and your family.

(((Carols))) So sorry that you are going through this right now.

Stay strong in your quit. No matter how bad you feel right now, smoking is going to make it feel even worse.

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Thanks all for the support and kind words.  It's been rough, but I'm hanging in there.  Yesterday was precarious as I was having 'what difference does it make, she never smoked' thoughts.  But I just cried instead of bummed or bought so am still a non-smoker.

Beginning the path of acceptance.  There is nothing I can do except be supportive and handle the pain

Hi Carols, so sorry to hear about your sister.  What a terrible thing to go through.  Best wishes to you and her at this difficult time.  Stay strong.

Today is my 2 month quit anniversary.  I wish I could take some joy in that but received bad news yesterday. My sister, who is 18 months older, and never smoked a cig in her life is in stage 4 terminal cancer. Nothing to be done, will go on hospice care. Very Sad but will NOT smoke. That won't make her any better and it sure won't help me either!
