Hello Viv Never be discouraged ! It took me a good 2 years before I started to feel "right" again. Of course everyone is different but iregardless of how long it takes to stop thinking about it we have to remember that this could very well be the fight of our lives at any point. Tell yourself that today and every day that under no circumstances will I smoke today. Roses is right that every day that you don't smoke you win the day. Excellent for you for not smoking today. breather

Dear VIV,

Sorry to hear that you have had a bad couple of days....they will come around every so often, but the good news is they will lessen in severity. Weigh up the options by all means, but make sure that smoking again is not one of them, no matter what!

After this length of time...200 days...what a waste to lose a really great quit! Just try to imagine what it would be like to repeat all you have been through! I look forward to sharing your next big quit moment. Have you worked out a particular reward for any big moment coming up?

Whatever it takes, just don't smoke!

Ashley, the main reason for getting this far has been taking it one day at a time and telling myself... N.O.P.E. I am struggling today & yesterday to be honest so I have logged in and with a glass of water & a box of Bretzels I am weighing up the options and reminding myself of how far I've come and how dreadful it is to feel that despaired of addiction. Well having seen all the responses to my last post, how could I possibly not continue this quit. Enormous thanks to Lolly, Sly, Roses, Working On it, Penitent, Ashley, Breather and many others For being there! I feel better already , so back out and continue the garden pruning.
