New variant on the smoking dream

11 years ago 0 2508 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
For me it is a bit different. When I have a smoking dream lately and wakeup, I want a cigarette. Then I remember I don't smoke anymore. I am kind of disappointed about it for a while but at the same time I am sure glad I don't have any cigarettes in the house anymore..

I agree with Workin' on it. When you finally realize it was just a dream and you didn't blow it it's like YES ! Thank God !

Generally, I feel relieved when I wake up.

I can imagine the vivid dreams of smoking are disturbing and frustrating!  Once you realize it was only a dream, how do you feel??  Vincenza, Health Educator

Yes, they do decrease over time. My friend who quit over 5 years ago says they only come once in a long time for her now, and it still ends with her saying, "Oh, sh--, now I have to start all over again." I guess it's just a little public service announcement from the subconscious to not smoke again.

Oh how I hate the smoking dreams!!!! I have them every night then wake up upset in the morning because I think I actually had a smoke!  I can't wait until they go away.  Glad to know that eventually they're just going to pop up once in a while.

It's been a while since I've had a smoking dream.

I ended up dreaming sometime last night that I wanted to smoke. That was it. No actual smoking in the dream. Just 3 intense craves and my disappointment that cravings were still there.

I'm glad this thing continues to fade, but jeez! This is like being haunted by the ghost of a ghost.  LOL.

Aside from the dream, it has been 7 days since my last crave/ desire to smoke. A whole week without consciously thinking about it at all. Yay!
