Have hell and heck week in, I will not turn back now.  I don't want to go through those awful 2 weeks EVER again!

snice  Your post from Oct. 30th hit the nail on the head. " Whatever this day throws at me , I will not smoke ". We can't control what happens in the course of a day but we can control whether we smoke or not. I won't smoke today no matter what happens either. Yay for you !  breather

Yeah, the daily pledge is a good thing, especially if you are having hard days.
 
I kind of look at it like an incremental brainwash. It's a matter of telling yourself over and over that smoking ain't gonna happen each day until your mind and body finally accept it.
 
And it's still good for me to come back for a little touch up every now and then: I will not smoke today.
