Thank you. SuzyL Just the message I need to hear. I am a mere ten weeks in, and its really important that I get to understand that there is a life beyond smoking. Sometimes I feel it's the end of the world. However, when more rational , I know that I'll get over it. So it's good to hear from you. Thanks! Viv N.O.P.E

Thanks so much for posting SuzyL!

8 years is an amazing accomplishment. Congratulations.

What's it like being a non smoker?

Hi,

Thanks for coming back around. I am approaching the completion of my first cigarette-free year. I like stories from those who have kept the quit for a long time.  It makes me feel hopeful.

Hello to all at SSC! I haven't graced this forum in a very long time. Eight years ago my mother was diagnosed with emphasema. This was a hard pill to swallow, I had to admit that it wasn't IF smoking would kill me but WHEN. Here I am 8 years later, a nonsmoker! I have these forums to thank for the support and love to help me through one minute, hour, and days. The program works, I am in control of my addiction, for this I am very grateful. I am proof there is life after cigarettes and it is GREAT! In the comming days I hope to be able to help those who may need confidence and support from one who has gone before them.

One day at a time,
SuzyL
