Congratulations, Sly! 1/4 of a year with no cigarettes.

I know what you mean about more mellow, too. I had no idea how wound up I was when I still smoked. I knew that I was edgy, but it seemed kind of normal. I can still get worked up and PO'd at stuff as a non-smoker, but I just don't have the same amount of edginess in me anymore.

Hey Sly!!!

Huge congrats on your 3 + months anniversary!  I hope you rewarded  yourself well... I would!  Another milestone for you in 8 more days, too!  It's a great time to be a quitter, eh?    And just think... a couple more weeks after that, you'll be celebrating your first smoke-free Christmas in how many years???  It just keeps getting better and better, huh?   Woooo Hoooo for you!!!

Congratulations Sly!

3 months is quite the hurdle and you did it! How did you reward yourself?

Congratulations Sly and thanks for bringing to my awareness how much more mellow I am too.  I don't even know when the roller coaster of emotions evened out but they did and I'm certainly more level headed now than I was during the initial stages of my quit of course, but also more than when I actually smoked.

3 months quit is great Sly!  Good for you for recognizing that the Holiday season is one to beware of - especially when your other half is a smoker.  But you have this one covered and are going to sail right through!    Hope you have a nice reward planned for yourself for saving all that cash from 3 months on NOT Smoking! Congrats and Cheers to a great Holiday season : )

I have made it to 3 months  It went by quite quickly after the first month.
I am feeling really good,No craves to speak of.Kind of missing the social side of it as my other half is still smoking
and this time of year is full of social gatherings but I will not smoke this Holiday season or any other.
I am trying to imagine how gross the 1380 cig butts that I haven't smoked would smell they sure add up fast.
I am so glad to be free of that.I am also really surprised at how much more mellow I am and I like it.
Thanks to all of you that have reached the bigger # and years, it keeps me focussed on reaching each milestone.
