Hi, I hope you're feeling a bit better now. Just wanted to say something that I mean't to include in my last message and forgot. Yes you can buy them off the net, I have, but I won't be doing it again. They looked like the real thing, 10mgs, wrapped up as they should be so thought they'd be okay. When I went through a real anxious time took 10mgs which would normally wipe me out for a couple of hours, but no I was wide awake, no effect whatsoever. Then I thought how stupid I'd been, they could have been anything. They were posted from Lima ! If anything had gone wrong what could I have told the doctor I'd taken ? Just thought I'd let you know, might not be the response you wanted, but be safe !!

I can so identify with this. Two years ago I lived off them, that and Lorazepam. I found I weaned myself off them rather like an alcoholic weans himself off alcohol. I would take the first in the morning, then gradually make the second later, then one at night. Eventually I would get up in the morning and not take one as a matter of course, but if later I felt my anxiety getting a bit worse would take one then, taking the second later still, almost as something to look forward to. In the evenings I'd try maybe a sleeping tablet sometimes, or relax myself to sleep, playing music or relaxation tape I know they are a necessary drug at times, indeed I'm back on them now whilst I'm changing my anti depressants, and was frightened about being back on them, as they're so addictive. What I've just been told by my support team tho' which probably flies in the face of everything I've just said is to take them regularly. Apparently if you wait until the anxiety is really bad, they won't bring your levels down as much as if you take them at set times. Try getting up, being busy and taking one later, then make the second one later still, almost as something to look forward to ( like an alcoholic ), then try something else before bed, herbal sleeping tablet, music or something, because lets face it if you're asleep you don't need one ! You can do it. Try not to take more, as they do cause anxiety in themselves, weird huh ? If I can do it so can you, of that I'm 100% sure. Good luck

Hey Ease: No never withdrew before..Just wanted to encourage you to go back and see your doctor.. Maybe he needs to ween you off a little more slowly , tell him you are feeling withdraw.. But don't quit.. Make yourself with every once of strength you have left go out and do something, even if you go out to get the mail and go out to walk the dog... anything but don't quit no matter how nervous you feel. Challenge yourself to do a little bit more no matter how you feel.

help is what i need. hi everyone, well am not having a good time at the minute, my doctor has (in his wisdom) decicded to cut and bring me off diazepam. This would be all well and good, but not at this moment in time, you see at xmas time last year i got myself a job i really liked, and i was working away in it, until about 3 weeks ago , i had a bit of bother with other employee, and at this time my doctor cuts my diazepam pills down from three 2mg tabs a day, to just 1mg,to be frank i cant cope with this, and i dont know where to turn too, cos i cant function normally in ANYTHING i do during waking hours. So i have now left this job, and not currently working, and still and having bother with just taking one pill, am 31 years old, been taking these tablets for 10 years, and now my doctor has started weaning me off them, i really cant do it, i will not go out in the car myself, or take dog a walk, my day consists of sitting on pc or watching tv, i just dont feel safe without my magic pill.Does anyone else feel like this ? I have no other choice as i see it, is to buy some medication one line somewhere, as my doctor is not for giving me.. can this be done am from northern ireland hope you are coping with these ILLNESS better than me
