Jennifer:

So glad to see this...And very happy for you and your daughter.  Thank you for reminding us that smoking effects many things in our lives, including the people who care most for us.  Your daughter must be very proud of you...Some how I don't think you need to be urged to keep up the good work.  You clearly know the anguish of quitting and you also know the relief and sense of accomplishment that come with cessation.  Some how I doubt that you would ever trade the latter for the former.  All things are new again...

stay well

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

11 years ago 0 28 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
As of today, July 27th, I have been free from cigarettes for ten years.  Words cannot describe how good I feel!  My reward was a very nice dinner with my daughter and her best friend.  My daughter was five when I quit and is now a teenager that doesn't smoke.  :)  I have always shared my rewards with her since she put up with so much during my early quit.  She told me tonight that it was worth it to have a non smoking mom.  I am proud of myself for my commitment to stay smoke free and proud of my daughter who has made better choices than I did when I was her age.
For those that struggle, do whatever it takes to not smoke.  Yes it will change everything in your life, you will not be the same person...you will be better and stronger than you were before.
Hang tuff and take care,
Jennifer aka jen_quit
