Myth or Fact

Myth: Rewards are an unimportant part of my quit and I don’t need them.

Fact: The nicotine found in cigarettes triggers the rewards centre of your brain producing feelings of happiness. When you quit smoking, this initiation of the rewards centre doesn’t occur any more so it’s important that you trigger it by outwardly rewarding yourself. A reward doesn’t have to be huge, just something small that makes you feel good.
