Well BrentW1, you're not alone in your hiatus from quitting, lots of us are very lucky to get the chance to quit again. I'm thinking I won't have much health left if I screw this one up, so join me for our last quit and let's get down to kickin' ash, as Jim would say! DeniseK

Hey Brent!!!

What a blast from the past!!!  The Mad Englishman has returned!!!  Looks like it has been a couple of months since you decided to snub those cigars again!!!  We're all glad you decided to get back up on that horse and begin the battle anew!!!  Let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you!

Welcome Brent!
Hope you're sticking with us! I quit this last time at 56! It doesn't matter when we quit, just that we do!
You can do this and feel good about yourself in the process!
All the best!

Hi Brent,

It sounds like you are ready to give up cigars.  It looks like you have already completed one day! Good for you. Be sure to read through the program and support group. It will help prepare you.  Also, post often here and in your blog.  We want to hear how your doing and help you every step of the way.

How do you think you will be different once you quit successfully? How does this align with who you want to be and what you value?

Well I'm not proud of myself! after three years I have just come to the end of a major lapse. For the past 2 years I have been smoking the dreaded cigars again. 10 a day which costs a fortune and is wrecking my health. Hacking cough, wheezing, stinking and most pitifully of all.........I am constantly trying to hide my addiction from my wonderful family. My children keep telling me that they are worried about me and it is making me feel small.

I had forgotten the advice which I gave others many times on this site.

Reasons to stop.
1. You don't stink.
2. You live longer.
3. You have loads more money.
4. You have more self esteem.

Reasons to carry on.
1. None.

A cigar is a tube with a fire at one end and a fool at the other. This time I am determined. I am running out of time at the age of 54. This is it!
