Congratulations Mystres and welcome!

You already have a lot of smoke free days under your belt!  It sounds like you really want this. What do you need from the support group here that will help you in your quit?

Hi, Yes I am new to the site.  well I had registered a bit ago, but this is my first post.
In Early october My husband and I decided to adopt.  And well most people/agencies will not adopt to smokers.  So I finally after 12 previous quit smoking trys have done it successfully, and with out any patches, but, or meds.
The Day we decided to officially adopt I knew I have to Quit.  I finished my pack I had.  and did not enter a gas station again for 4 weeks so I would not be tempted to get a pack.

The first few weeks were rough, expecially on my husband, a Non smoker.  But I did it.  My previous attempts at quitting smoking did not work, and I now know why.  I didnt have a reason, a want stronger than smoking to make me want to stop.  I want to adopt more than I want to smoke, and that is what made it happen for me.

So I have not smoked since OCT 3rd 2011.  And I hope to keep it that way and enjoy the money I save along with my Future child.
