Bump!

Happy holidays.

Here are some thoughts to help you prepare for cravings.

How will you be managing cravings this holiday season?

Stay strong KristenW88! The holidays are a funny time of the year they can be full of ups and downs. But at the end of the day, find your "meaning" of this holiday year and set yourself goals and go for them!
I hope you find the inner strength you need to make it through the holiday season smoke-free and in good spirits. Know we are here to support you.

Thank you Denise. I guess being wrapped up in the holiday season I forgot about the precious gift I've already given them. Thank you for reminding me. :)

Hi KristenW88, I just want to say that  I appreciate you sharing what's going on in your life while you stay quit. I admire your determination and perseverance. I think that although you are not able to spend Christmas with your children this year, you are giving them the gift of a smoke free mom when you do get to spend time with them, and that has to be priceless. Hugs, DeniseK

Kristen..

Take your time and relax this out!

If your body needs rest then rest!

Make a list check it twice and go out when the peak hours are not peaking!  I know some stores are open really late and going an hour before they close is peaceful!

Get back to your workout routine and change it up a little!  Try a new exercise or machine..or pop in a DVD..it may release some of this added stress!

KristenW88  Soon you'll wonder where the year went to? Every milestone you pass is a confidence builder. It was head games with me for a long time but not like those early days. We need to remember how far we've come and reward ourselves accordingly. Addiction tells us that we're not doing very well when we actually are and the opposite is also true. Refuse to play head games with the committee. Remember that we can start a new day anytime we want to. You guys are doing great ! Excellent for you. breather

Thank you will. That really helped. I don't want to go back to the life but it's like someone has a rope tied around my waist and is playing tug of war with me. But, this to shall pass. I'm going to kick these cravings in the butt.

Kristen, remember smoking won't relieve your stress. It will only cause more stress if you give in. I'm in the same boat Kristen I haven't gone through the holidays without smoking yet but we will get through Kristen and then you and I will high five and laugh that we even considered going back to the nightmare that is smoking everyday, everyday Kristen remember that it"s not one it's EVERYDAY.

I'm having a hard time dealing with all the stress of shopping and dealing with my health issues. This hasn't really been a good couple months for me, and December only seems to be dreadful to me. The cravings keep sneaking up on me. I know that i can conquer them as I've done in the past. I'm hoping it goes by faster then I'm thinking it's going to!
