when I remember, I still put the money I would have spent on a daily pack into a pouch in my lunchbox. At the end of the month I usually treat myself to a movie and dinner out. It's a pretty good reward. Thanks for making a difference.
10 years is a huge milestone WELL DONE!!!. Just thought I'd drop by to hello. Its been over 2 years since I got free and sometimes I forget I even smoked!!! This site was a huge help and I would encourage newbies to hang in....by the way ..I spent the $$ I had saved by taking my wife, 3 daughters,1 son-in-law and 2 grandaughters to Anaheim/L.A./San Deigo for 2 weeks!!!!! You can do it!!!!!!
Yahoo, I hit another milestone. I had ten years without a cigarette on 11/11/11. I haven't posted lately but thought I should check back in and let any new quitters know that this miracle is possible. I used this site a lot when I first quit, I believe some of the keys to success is to stay connected with other quitters, tell someone what is going on inside of you (come on now, tell the truth) and also to simplify this thing and realize you only live for today so just quit for today. Yep, I've been able to maintain my quit for over 3,650 one days at a time. Best wishes to you all. Joe D.
