hey Marbles, sorry you slipped. So easy to do , isn't it? So happy to hear that you are right back to it tho. How long were you not smoking before "the fateful just one"?I wish you all the best. You can do this! -aloha

Hi Marbles,
Welcome back,  I love the puppy visual.  Yes my quit is as precious and easily broken as a puppy.  I need to take proper care of it to help it grow!

Happy Smoke free Saturday!

Hey Marbles :)
I agree with Tiana - You do sound determined!  I understand your desire to start with a clean Quit by resetting your Meter.  You aren't alone in doing that Marbles !  I'm kind of new here (wk 5 of my NOPE Quit), but I had to do the same thing as you - Reset my Quit Meter after the first 5 days of my initial Quit.  I had done well until that first weekend  (weak-end?) but got sucked in to falling for 'a few puffs' off my hubby's smokes that first Friday night. I'd caved so many times before, he even left me a few smokes when he left for work on Monday morning (he's works out of town during the week). But I threw out the smokes he left for me so I wouldn't be tempted by them , Reset My Meter, 'Fessed up to you all here at SSC about my 'slip' and started on a fresh Quit!  I CLUED into NOPE - finally, and am proud to still be smoke free since resetting my meter that one time!  So You GO FOR IT Marbles! You're being honest with yourself now; you've reset your Meter.  Now you can watch out for those nasty triggers that sneak up on you and avoid them by just saying NOPE next time!  You can do it !  Eya

Hey Marbles,

Sorry to hear of your slip but you sound determined, which is great. Don't be too hard on yourself- this is a good learning experience! What have you learned? How will you protect your quit in the future similar situations?

Good luck!

One more thing..

I am not picturing waves any more.

I am picturing my quit.. as a puppy.. a very cute baby.. but premature and very fragile.. trying to survive against all odds..

Let's see if it will work.

I am sorry to say I failed.

I wrote a long post but it disappeared, so here is the short version..

I was in my comfort zone, very relaxed, at home in my garden and a neighbor approached and we started talking, he offered a cig, and you know the rest..
I was doing so good and so proud of myself, I can't believe I messed up!

I reset my meter, it has been 28 hours since the last one..

I can't afford messing this up too, this has to be it, my last quit!
