Dallas, TX! With the Super Bowl this weekend, it’s a great time to visit Dallas! We have suites reserved at the Hilton Anatole, known for its spa and penthouse restaurant and bar overlooking the city! We'll visit the Dallas Museum of Art, The Nasher Sculpture Gardens, and the Trammell Crow Collection of Asian Art (since today is Chinese New Year). For those into American History, we'll stop by the Sixth Floor Museum. There are some great golf courses near Dallas, but with the ice storms this week, it doesn't look promising to hit the greens. For those into shopping, the original Neiman Marcus is in Dallas!
For dinner, Sonny Bryan's is known for their Texas BBQ! We can partake in a ton of Texas beef bbq, slapped on a soft bun that gets slathered with tangy, spicy bbq sauce. Their brisket and sausage is known throughout the state! I usually eat very healthy, but their macaroni and cheese and fried okra is worth every calorie! Sonny Bryan's recently won a James Beard Foundation Award, so you can be assured this is quality BBQ!
Sunday, we'll head up to Arlington for the big game! Whether you are rooting for Pittsburgh or Green bay, we'll have a blast! I was able to reserve a box on the 50 yard line, so we have great seats for the game! For those who aren't into the game, we'll have plenty of tvs to watch the commercials! Come on everybody, join the train ride this week! All Aboard!
