I can't believe it is 2 years already!

Each time I hear that one of my friends has died from a smoking-related illness, I remember MM.

All these deaths are so sad!

2 years already! Gee! Time flies!

Thinking of you Karen, Miss Marple and in an earlier SSC life,  Gonnadoit.

What a hoot she was - taken too soon and without good reason!

So strange. I was just thinking of her last night. I didn't realize it has been two years already.

RIP Karen

Now it is over 2 years since our most excellent quit buddy, Miss Marple, left us.  She really did have a big influence on many of our lives and I still miss her.

I wanted to bump this forward for all of our new quit buddies to read.  Old quit buddies, too, for that matter.  If you get a chance, do a search on her and read some of her old posts.  She was a hoot and a great supporter.  RIP Karen.

It's been a year since I announced the sad news about Karen.  I miss her.  Her sense of humor helped all of us fight off the nicodemon.  I never met Karen in person, but hanging out here on SSC and on Facebook allowed us to become good friends.  COPD and cancer claimed her life way too early.  I encourage anybody thinking about quitting to just do it.  Do it now.  Make January 1, 2012 your quit date.  Do whatever you can to stay quit.  I know Karen has a team of cabana boys with her!  Love ya Miss Marples!

Sparky,

You are so lucky you met her.  And thank you for being there for her.  She was amazing.

January 1st.   There are so many people out there that promise themselves to quit on that date.  Maybe, hopefully, Karen is arranging her angel wings around those new people.

That's my prayer, and that's my hope.

Bump for anyone that missed the passing of MM.  MM is going to be celebrating her 2 year anniversary on the first, let's all keep our quits in her honor.  I'm glad to see the meter ticking away as we speak. I hope you are OK out there Sparky? R

Just dropped in to see how every one was and in particular Miss Marple...........I am so sorry. We have been having a bit of a hard time down here in N.Z. and I just felt like jumping in to check things out. I know I'm late but she was one of the Forum legends and , because of those legends I am still free.

Karen has been in my thoughts and prayers these past few days.  It got me to thinking, as Sparky talked about, about when we all started around the same time.  I had my ups and downs, but the support from these great people, Sparky, Gonna(Miss Marple), Windy, Phil, Riverdale Man, etc., was second to none.  We had fun!  Plain and simple, and we stopped smoking!
Karen may be gone, but definitely not forgotten.  To all my SSC buddies...thank you for being there...I don't say it near often enough.  You are the people who got me through.  And I am so happy to be a non smoker!

May God Bless you always, Karen.
