I am so happy for you and very very proud of you!  Isn't it nice to be at the stage that smoking does not consume your thoughts.  It does get easier and easier and I am glad you are working through this!  I think you deserve a HUGE reward. Congrats hun!

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

13 years ago 0 312 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Everything went good yesterday, took a low milligram nerve pill before going and had Dum Dum Pops in car for the drive.

I actually really enjoy the court room, so it is nice to not be sitting there waiting to go out and smoke, where I can just watch and listen to all that is going on. I may just make this a monthly reward or something and just go to court and watch the action.

As far as my case is going, it's not, we will probably be going to court every month for a while so that will help me out with my reward plans.

A Win Win

Thanks for the encouragement and support.

You will do just fine, Charm.  Don't worry about it and if you do feel the urgings, then don't hesitate to fall back on the basics.  Those are something we tend to forget as we move away from the initial phase of our quits and don't have ready to hand should we suddenly find ourselves in sudden need of them.

Best of luck with Round 2.  We're pulling for you.

Had to come back and read over this thread.. Round 2 today.

Yes still nervous and anxious, but I will not smoke...I will not smoke... I will not smoke.

Okay, after having said that... I'll be just fine, with you guys' help of course.

Will check back later.

Wow, that is great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We all knew you could do it so I'm glad that you got a confidence boost from this and came out victorious!  Yesterday you proved to yourself that although you may still think about smoking......you now know that you did not need to smoke and that smoking would not have changed the situation at all.  Keep being positive and things will work out exactly as they are suppose to.

I am so happy for you and proud of you!  You rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and yes HBD to Olivia!

YAY I made it....all smokefree...

I won't tell you that I didn't think of smoking, Freedomby30, but I just did something else until it passed.

I took all my confidence, preparation and positive spin on this and got thru it..Thank you guys so much..

Without going into a lot of detail, I won the first round, judge agreed with me, next court date is Jan 31, 2011, where ex-hubby has to have complied to decree...

I rocked ...with your help of course...

Again, Happy Birthday  to Olivia Jane.

I agree with Alice....fake it til you make it!  Put the entire smoking issue aside and be confident in knowing what you want and what will happen in this situation.  Remain as positive as possible and focus on being prepared.  Once it's all over then you can think about smoking....although I believe at that point you will be so impressed that you didn't think about smoking the entire time that you will gain even more confidence and love for yourself at that moment.  No matter how difficult this is, you can get through it!  Stay strong and wishing you lots of success today!

Charm,

I was thinking about you these past few days. You are going to do great! Shine your shoes, keep your head up tall, and be confident (even if you don't feel it, fake it!).

I really wish I could help you with the legal stuff but unfortunately after law school I decided to do my dissertation (postpone life in the real world for a while longer before I enter the court room). But, if you ever need/want to chat about corporate and trade law I am your gal.

My advice: rehearse what you want to say, keep your emotions to a minimum, and breath (and enjoy your lungs while you are at it!)

Back to the books,

Alice
