Now that the fire is really burning (and because I am having a rough week) I am going to throw some more in:  school work, impossible expectations, student loan debt, uncertain futures, dirty dishes & unfolded laundry, expensive plane tickets, and the large miles (or provinces) separating me from my family

I will bring some melted chocolate to dip all the fruit I brought (a little fondue).  Of course, it will be calorie free

The fire is a blazing and my problems and worries are a burning

I am back from family dinner and I am so full , but everything was so good and was nice to be with family.  So I am going to sit in a chair and relax for a couple hours then head out for my AA meeting.

Here are some suggestions that can be thrown into the fire:
Bosses, jobs, pounds, nasty people, bills (they really don't go away ) mechanics, drivers, family members , yard work, and on and on.  I sure as we go along there will be some interesting one.

Here is one "Black Friday", let's watch that burn.

I am totally in.  I will bring some fresh home made popped popcorn!  Keeping the butter and salt factor low today!

I would like to throw in the fire:  the knots in my shoulders and back and my restless feelings.  Those should burn rather quickly and easily like kindling.

See you all here later!

I think it is a great idea!

Thank you for explaining it and posting.

Are you going to be our official bonfire starter each week?

Happy Thanksgiving Sparky. Glad you are getting to spend it with your husband and family. Don't eat toooo muchhhh .

I'm sitting by the fire early today just relaxing and waiting for all of you to get here. I brought 2 batches of eggnog...one with....one without (for you Sparky ).

I have thrown in the fire: boredom, sleeplessness and some extra weight.

I plan on getting out of this evening: friendship, support and fun.

Be glad when y'all get here.

Ashley, the bonfire was started a few years ago by some members.  The purpose was to have a bonfire and toss the weeks troubles or problems in to the fire and then party on.  I started this up again so the newcomers and the oldies could meet each other.  Just some kind of interaction for the site just like the parades, train rides, the word game.  Quitting doesn't have to a lonely thing it can be fun with others.  I hope this helps.

Thanks for starting this fire Sparky.

I think that I will bring some healthy snacks:  veggies and dip, bottles of water, and some yummy fruit for dessert (mangos, pineapple, strawberries, etc)

I will throw in my stress, restless sleeps, anxiety, and my childish temper tantrums

Burn, Burn, and Burn!

Thanks for starting the Fire Sparky.

For new members could you or someone else explain the process of the Thursday bonfire?

Not sure how many will show up, but I will start the fire and set up some chairs.  There is a table to put your treats on.  I am bringing leftovers LOL

I am tossing the 4000+ calories into the fire .  I am also tossing in my lack of patiences and judgmental attitude.

Hope everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
