Hi Charm,

As an 'oldie' I can confirm your hope that things are improving because you have quit.  For about a year or so I noticed that small things in my health and body were improving/changing, and I could find no other reason except I had quit smoking.

After that there were improvements in my psychology, personality, and general outlook on life.  It has never ceased to amaze me how well I felt and looked, and all thanks to quitting!  What a pity I allowed the Nicodemon to persuade me that I would be worse off if I quit!

Enjoy the 'new you' Charm!  It's not just interesting, but fantastic!  Relish the Freedom!

Now I would say that is a darn nice reward   I got my hair cut Friday and the hair dresser made a comment how nice my hair smelled, yes!!!  All I need for now is stand next to someone who has just finished a cigarette and smell them and say a pray "Thank God that is not me "

My new picture is Mr Kitty, I got him three years ago when I was smoke free for six months, he was my reward.  Sure am glad I didn't have to give him up when I gave up.  Have a great week!!

Hi,

Your body is going through all kinds of healing and changing that you won't be aware of. Think about it: all your organs are getting more oxygen and no toxins or poisons!! I can imagine all your cells doing the happy dance

Has anyone else noted positive changes that they didn't expect?

Charm,
It definitely could be a result of quitting smoking.  Quitting smoking improves the blood supply to the skin, which can promote a more natural healthy appearance.  Complexion may also get better as enlarged pores reduce in size and overall elasticity of the skin improves.  Here’s to being healthier and looking healthier!

A girl I work with said "Your complextion is looking a lot better, healthier."

Could this be from quitting smoking???

If so, are there any other changes our bodies may be making that we are not even aware of??

Interesting...
