Wow Lance!  Way to go!  I know you struggled.  I just logged on after awhile and realized that its almost been a year for me too.  Its amazing how fast the time goes.  Keep up the good work.

Thanks all! I'm reading these replies and can hardly believe it's me they are to. One year didnt even seem like it would happen at first, but it went by so, so very fast.

Gimm! You are right there too! I'm so proud of you! You hung in there too! It's so great to go through this with wonderful friends that care so much. This is much of my success, all the encouragement and support here. It made all the difference.

Lance, congrats on your first smoke free trip around the sun!  I told you a year ago that tempory inconveniences would yield HUGE permanent improvements.  And here you are today celebrating your first first smoke free anniversary!  I'm so happy that you told the nicodemon each and every day that he is no longer part of your life!  Please be sure to find a special reward to celebrate this milestone!  Here's to the next smoke free year, and beyond!

Congratulations Lance on reaching your first year quit!!!

I bet you are so glad you had the strength to hang in there when it was so hard a the start!  You now have moved ahead and have that new, great self-esteem that a successful quit can bring.

Well Done!

Tiana's question (BTW nice to meet you! ) was what helped me get through the year. I think the best answer to that is wanting to be happy about myself and in my life. The intense desire to be better than I feel I was. Past disapointments in life can really influence these things. I plain was fed up with everything and wanted to succeed. That was the me part, but the all of you part were a tremendous help as well. Especially in the begining.

I havnt been on as much, mainly due to the site. I havent gotten used to it and its not as easy as it was. Not sure if its my OS or what, also Im a non smoking employee at my new job at a big University, so Im very busy.
