Wow so quitting smoking can change your life not only in regards to health and personal reasons but also career wise!  That's great motivation.  Be sure to celebrate all of your successes though, you deserve it!

I'm keeping myself motivated by knowing that I really want to quit and I'll be 34 in a month.  I don't know why this place says I am already, but in a month I'll hit 34.  I told myself 4 years ago that I'd quit by the time I'm 30.  Time flies by sometimes huh?

Also rewarding?  Well to tell you the truth this quitting is my reward for becoming a certifed pharmacy technician.  And now that I work in an enviroment where I make IVs (I could before I was certified, just pills) and have to garbed in sterile stuff and leaving to have a smoke is a huge pain, I just want to be rid of smoking.  I worked almost 2 years of schooling for this and I like it.  And smoking I don't.

Being smoke free is my reward for moving forward in life and doing something that I enjoy :)

Also my kids are quite happy about it too.  Although I'll be using the blu for a few months, its not as near as often as cigs.

Azhure, welcome to the SSC and congratulations on your decision to quit smoking!  Those 2 smoke free days look great on you!  Are you rewarding yourself?  A small reward for each passed craving, a medium reward for each smoke free day, and a larger reward for each smoke free week!  I recommend setting up your quit meter and adding it to your post from "my profile" so everybody can celebrate your numbers!  Have a wonderful smoke free weekend!!!

Azhure,

That's fantastic!  We all know that these first steps can be tough.  Look - you are on Day 3 already.

Hang in there, and have a great smoke free weekend.
