Triggers

Some triggers you cannot avoid, and sometimes you don't know it is such a big trigger until the first or 2nd time you go through it.

I think or what helps me is to understand that it is a trigger, and to have a plan to help you get through it and out the other side.

For many of us who are long time smokers.. Everything was dealt with by lighting up. So we are coming face to face and learning to express these emotions and feelings.  We do not have to "stuff" feelings down or hide behind clouds of blue smoke.

This is a learning experience and as I have learned from my good friend Jim  PMA.. Positive Mental Attitude :)

Members,
It is important to realize what your triggers are and how they affect you.  Do week-ends trigger you, your emotions, and your craves?  Take this week-end to be aware of the triggers around you.

What is causing this?
How did you handle it?
How can you prevent it?
How can you avoid it?

By preparing and being ready, you can continue to be active within your progress and get to the root of the trigger, as well as being able to combat it.
