Good for you, Mamma!!!!  Keep switching things up for the next week to break the 'routines' that you used to associate with smoking.....I, too, must have a morning jolt of caffeine....What I liked to do was treat myself to a gourmet or flavored coffee blend.....The taste was more robust and gave me something else to take my mind away from lighting up....  Keep up the great effort!!!!!

Keep the Quit,

Dave

Hi Mamma D,

Glad the site is helping.  There are a lot of great people here.   In addition to the forums is a great online program that prepares you well for the next couple of months while quitting.

It is split  up in milestones.  Milestone 4 outlines some great coping strategies that you can use for dealing with stress.  Please take a look when you have a chance.

One last thing...start to think about how you are going to reward yourself after a week of being smoke free.

Do you have any ideas?  Members, how did you reward yourself after the 1st week?

Look forward to hearing about your future success, Mamma D.

Much harder this morning when I had my coffee.  That was usually my first cig but I survived and still enjoyed my coffee.  Having battle with cravings off and on all day but managing to get through them.  Trying to stay busy.  Had trouble getting on site earlier today but everything seems to be fine now.  Being here really helps.
