Hi Sandy and Welcome.   If you are having a tough crave or feel like you need help... just post HELP

wait for 3 replies ... or read some posts by the time you have 3 replies your crave should be gone.

Take  try.. out of the picture.  I will do this.  I am an EX smoker now.

You are not giving up anything.. you are givinging yourself a gift.. Freedom.  I now understand  what it means to Relax.. I am not anxious .. not counting how many are left or planning a run to the store,  I can sit and enjoy conversation after dinner.  I am not cleaning out dirty ashtrays or ashes in my car.   I am not worried when I hug someone.. I know I dont smell like an ashtray.

Hey Sandy!

Welcome to the SSC from another Chantix quitter!!!  I found Chantix to be an excellent NRT that really helped to minimize the intense cravings that I experienced on previous quits!  Since you have been taking it for quit some time, your experiences ought to be the same.  The second part of my success I owe to the SSC!  The Program was very helpful and all of our quit buddies here helped make my journey to freedom possible!

Stick close the first few weeks to read  and learn from the advice given on the Forums and go through all of the Milestones in the Program!  Planning and  a Positive Mental Attitude are a couple keys to success!  Keep telling yourself that you  CAN  do this and you will!

      Holler when you need us!

Thanks so much.  I will become more active on this site.  Again, I am searching for all of the support I can get.  I truly feel like my head is in a much better place this time than the last 2 times I tried, which was over 5 years ago.  To be honest, I'm just sick of being a slave to such a disgusting habit.
