Myth or Fact?

I don't know, Ashley. There was an argument about this on another Web site and when I smoked, I never agreed with that assessment. Now I do and I don't. I think that for most people cigarette smoke is just simply annoying. Like I don't like it when it whiffs beneath my front door now. (I live in a apartment building full of rude smokers.) Or smelling it while waiting for a bus. However, I do think that for people who live with smokers and are exposed to a lot of smoke that secondhand smoke can cause lung cancer for them. I also think that because I had a long history of smoking that secondhand smoke could now be very bad for me.

My Mileage:

My Quit Date: 5/1/2009
Smoke-Free Days: 383
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,724
Amount Saved: $4,557.70
Life Gained:
Days: 43 Hrs: 3 Mins: 4 Seconds: 44

Members,

Myth: At least my smoking habit does not affect those around me.

Fact: The dangers of secondhand smoke have been studied extensively. Smoking around others
exposes your children, spouse, friends to toxic substances that can lead to several conditions such as: lung cancer, asthma, heart disease…etc
