Renee, the absolute last thing you want to do right now is take too many things away that you like.  The effort it takes to quit is so all encompassing, if you try to focus on anything else your junkie will start to think 'but I WANT' and instead of remembering why you quit you'll fixate on why you want to smoke.

Drink coffee I say, and order me a double tall vanilla latte while you're at it ;)

Hope you're doing well today.

x T

I don't know if drinking coffee is a bad habit or not. But I guess its better than smoking, if it doesn't keep you awake at night. All I know is I'm not giving up my coffee. That would be really hard for me to do right now. I've been drinking coffee since I was in high school.

Is drinking coffee really a bad habit? I started drinking coffee regularly when I quit smoking--decaf. A cafe mocha a day, that I make myself, is my daily reward. Because it has chocolate in it, it is sort of a two for oner--coffee and a sweet.

Hi Renee,   Good job.  I read we crave sweets, because   when we quit, it throws off our blood sugar levels for awhile,

I have the same with the morning coffee... but before I get out of bed, I remind myself.. Coffee only... I am a non smoker now.

If you can, put the money away.. in a savings account, or envelope at home, you will be surprised how quickly it adds up.

I did really well last night. My Mom is a ballroom dancer and she brought home cookies from the dance last night. I ate most of them! Thats got to stop right now! Time to buy some chewing gum! Waking up was hard with my coffee. I will NOTgive up my coffee. One bad habit at a time! Sleeping was no problem this time. Just think of what I can do with the money when I go to LasVegas this summer!

Renee, do you want to quit quitting? If so, take 'try' out of your vocabulary and just do it.

Hi Renee,   Welcome back.  I am another. "returnee"  This is the first place I headed when I started this quit.

I am planning on it being "my Last quit"  As others said,  one thing at a time,  and it will be easier to excersise when you can breathe.

Sunday I washed and waxed my car...
