This is a huge milestone....most people who get to 6 months make it for ever. You have been quit long enough to know that you can do it, and you are through the worst. The best bit is when you move from "survival" mode into "recovery" ......the best is yet to come.
Remember - every time you go through a new trigger, that's a new non-smoking memory laid down. Kill those triggers one by one....!
Congrats on your 6 months.
Lizzie

Congratulations on keeping the quit 6 months strong.
We are at about the same place in our quits, so I can so relate to what you have said.
It's not an hourly battle, most days not a battle at all, but the thoughts are still frequently there.
I too enjoy not having to stop what I am doing so that I can poison myself. I do at times take a 'smoke break', just without the smoke. I still need those moments when I can stop and think and plan which is what I used to do when I smoked.
Being halfway up quit mountain is not a bad place to be. There is some fantastic views and lots of fresh air. Keep taking it one day at a time. I've got your back and I'm really proud of you.

Please be sure to reward yourself, you really deserve it! I'll toast your success at dinner tonight! Here's to the next 6 smoke free months, and beyond!
P.S. Next time I'm in your neck of the woods we'll have to have a toast in person!

Thank you guys. Appreciate the support. As always you are a wonderful group.
Even though lately I got pretty "silent" (some may say Thank God for that!!!) I am still here. I love watching the new comers and at times, I will put in my 2c.
Mike, Jim - it's good to have you in my corner. Thank you for everything!
Todash... Thank you for all your posts - they made me realize that even though we each have our own struggles, the nicodemon is pretty predictable in the types of fights he's throwing at us.
Brenda, you are getting closer to graduation, my Lady!
Hi there Kaiser! You're back!!! Hope you had a great cruise... Reward was another Billy Blanks DVD set... But that is how I managed to enjoy my Easter feast with less guilt... Why am I talking to you about weight, skinny minnie...lol.
Keep the quit
