Hey Leela!!!

Welcome and congratulations for making an excellent decision to quit!  If you haven't done so, go through all of the milestones in "My Program"!   Read and post here, too!  There really is a wealth of information here and the search function works really well if you have any specific questions!  Also, we're here to help you along the way, too!

I also used these forums as a distraction during idle times!  I read and read and read some more!  The more I read, the more psyched up I became!!!  Try to keep a Positive Mental Attitude going through this process...  keep telling yourself that you CAN do this!!!  A positive attitude will really help you get through the first few days and weeks!

One last thing.... post for help if you ever think you are about to cave in and light one up!!!  Wait for 5 replies and by then your crave will be gone!  There's lots of hints and tips here, so start searching!!!

You are absolutely right Leela! Smoking does not make anything better, it most certainly is never worth going back. You have come through the worst and the best is yet to come! You have a good attitude, and I am sure you will do great! Keep it up. Try the breathing excercises if you get a craving or ice cold water, they both work!

I know that when I quit I thought that the whole world was still smoking.  Stay strong and remember your reasons for quitting.
