Keep on rollin with the changes as the song says, PB.  Besides, only the smoke free other side of that proverbial hill is any good.  The other smells like ashtray, it wheezes and wallows in the mire of self pity and apathy.  We are living, man, let us LIVE now.

Great to see you kiwi, I'm with you on welcoming the influx - it was great to quit and succeed at new years, it's like a big party to celebrate new quits!

And huge kudos for your pending 5 year celebration, you must surely have perfect pink lungs by now

Its awesome T, its hard to believe some many years were thrown away to this addiction. Though at the time I never looked at it that way. The way I see it now, I'm 43, and over the hill, so I'm going to coast on down and enjoy the second half as much as I can.

How bout it PB - that was the thought that messed with me the most 'ok I only told x, y and z, so if I screw up, a b and c won't ever know about it'.  I tried that the first quit and failed miserably.  This one, I told the world.

Your 272 days is a testament to your resolve, and minus three backup packs sure sounds like you were ready this time.  Feels great, doesn't it?!

"You haven’t told many people your plans.  You’re afraid of failing.  This way if you fail, you haven’t let anyone down."

Oh how true is that one, I even had 3 packs in the house, that way when I slipped I wouldn't have to run to the store. Funny, this quit is my last, didn't need the 3 packs after all, they went into the trash where they belonged.
