Ramble on that is what we are here for.  Many members have done this early in their quits.  it seems to help.

Janet,

If "rambling" or posting here helps you stick with the quit then do it! These first few days are a really challenging time, do what you must to remain smoke-free! We are here for you through this! Stay strong, and stay focused!

Members, any suggestions on how to get through the first few days of your quit?

Sitting at my desk, thinking about smoking - CRAP!!  So, I post.  I really have no reason to think about smoking - so why am I?  Boredom?  No, I'm swamped with work.  Craving?  I don't know - don't really feel like I want one...just thinking about having one for no reason.  How totally stupid is that?
I don't even have any cigarettes; so I'd have to either go buy them or try to bum one from someone in the building which I don't intend on doing.
I do believe I am rambling...But, I'm not smoking, right?  So...I ramble...
