Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Members,

October is breast cancer awareness month. Breast cancer has effected the lives of many. Every woman no matter what age should know how to give themselves a breast examine. Women aged 40-49 should have a clinical breast exam every two years and talk to their doctor about benefits and risks of mammography. Women aged 50-69 should have a clinical breast exam every two years and have a mammogram every two years. Women 70 and older should talk to their doctor about how often they should be tested for breast cancer. This information was taken from the Canadian Cancer Society. To find out more please visit www.cancer.ca
