That is very interesting.  The important thing is that it was just a crazy nightmare and you are tremendously successful in your quit while your awake.  Congratulations on your 2628 days Tresa.

Tresa,

Thanks for sharing that dream experience. It is so weird how dreams can feel absolutely real at times. You can't really control what you dream of, so there is definitely no need to feel guilty about it. The important thing is that you remain smoke free in reality and do not allow the dreams to trigger any sort of craving. Have a great smoke-free sunday!

Hi Tresa
The great thing is that you didn't smoke in your dream!
Our mind is amazing! You quit seven years ago, and your brain still wants to remind you of your previous life!
My educated guess is that we smoked for so many years that our smoking patterns are deeply ingrained in our brain. But the great thing is that they are only dreams. As you say, more like nightmares.\
We are in charge of our quit and we already decided to stay quit.
Big Hugs Tresa!! You are an inspiration to all of us!

I woke up this morning ready to confess that after all these years i slipped, i was a  party on the lake and i borrowed money to go buy a pack of smokes, when i got up to the store, i didn't have enough money so the guy told me to get one out front, there was a huge barrel full of cigarettes, i kept waiting for someone to come along  and stop me,It was so real it freaked me out,  it was my first smoking dream that i actually didn't smoke, i was glad to wake up , that dream has been fresh on my mind all day long,  More like a night mare :) Tresa
